HOME BREW is defined as  "an alcoholic beverage, especially beer, that is made at home". But there is something else  brewed locally that is just as intoxicating ... ... Australian Music.

HOME BREW RADIO is exactly that ... 100% Australian music, 100% of the time.

Not limited to any specific genre, HOME BREW RADIO includes pop, rock, dance, folk, alternative, jazz, metal, blues, and all the styles that bridge the gaps in between.

HOME BREW RADIO is committed to the airplay and promotion of 100% home brewed music from all over the nation. From mainstream to alternative to unsigned, HOME BREW RADIO has it all. And the best thing is that HOME BREW RADIO is 100% totally independent - we play what sounds good, not what the current trend says is chic.

Noddy & BrommersProduced and presented by Phil "BROMMERS" Bromley, and Jason "NODDY" Velleley  the show started out in 2000 on community radio station Triple H 100.1FM in Sydney.

HOME BREW RADIO is broadcast across Australia via the Community Radio Network from 9-10pm every Monday, 1-2am every Wednesday and 11pm-12am every Saturday night.

What are they saying about HOME BREW RADIO?

I am an independent Blue and Roots looping artist based in the Blue Mountains, Katoomba. I have been working in the industry for well over 10 years as a singer/songwriter and musician and have been supported by HOME BREW RADIO for many years.

In the community radio sector of the  Australian independent music scene, the services which HOME BREW RADIO offers to increase the exposure to independent artists and at the same time enrich the Australian public is invaluable.

The support I have received from HOME BREW RADIO's Noddy and Brommers has been fantastic. They’re professionalism and knowledge of the Australian independent music scene is top notch.  We appreciate the time they dedicate to us and they're top blokes to-boot

Skipping Girl Vinegar greatly appreciate the contribution that HOME BREW RADIO's BrommersNoddy make to radio. Their program has offered valued and consistent support to Skipping Girl Vinegar across the independent release of our debut album, Sift The Noise and our single, One Long Week. The band has experienced their high level of commitment to supporting and nurturing local talent.

We respect the work they do in the community radio sector and see their show as vital for the promotion of local Australian talent. The band sees these two presenters as professionals in their field who enjoy the respect of artists such as ourselves.

The Global Battle of the Bands (GBOB) gratefully acknowledges the support of HOME BREW RADIO in 2009. Being a huge international band comp, with a first prize worth US$100,000 and offering an Australasian band a trip to London to play in the World Final, it was vital to have media support in spreading the word about the event.HOME BREW RADIO reached into many areas across Australia where we ran 50 GBOB Heats last year. By promoting the shows, HOME BREW RADIO bolstered participation, and also rewarded successful bands with interviews and airtime. The support didn’t end there either...when it came to the Australasian National Final, Brommers co-hosted the night, and Noddy joined the judging panel. The excellent online presence and email newsletter that the HOME BREW RADIO team produces shows further dedication, professionalism and ongoing enthusiasm.

The GBOB Challenge is a worldwide music contest for “real” bands, who play their own music live. It encourages original artists, and with Australia at the World Final coming 7th in 2007 and 2nd in 2008, our local talent is showing it is worthy of the support given by HOME BREW RADIO and other sponsors. This exciting live music competition gives bands all over the world the chance to bring their music and talents to a wider audience, with no ‘life-long’ contracts or other strings attached. Getting out to the Australian public through community radio has been invaluable, and we sincerely thank Brommers and Noddy for their generous allocation of time and energy to assisting GBOB

I would be happy to recognise the significant support you have made to the Australian Music Community.  It is of even more significance now with the new media digital platforms, the changing environment, and where continued and growing commitment and support from HOME BREW RADIO's Noddy and Brommers has a larger presence and place in our community.  The Music community has seen a growing influence from community radio and we look forward to your ongoing support and where possible, even greater support of our massive independent Australian Music Community

My business as a radio plugger is to connect my bands to radio and get the word out.
Its’ a tough business, but is made so much better when you find true music fans and gents like Brommers and Noddy
They know the game and embrace the music
Also they are not part of the ‘faceless’ radio brigade either, natural personalities

They’ve showed a lot of support and gotten the word out early on acts that were considered ‘fringe’, but have gone on to do extremely well
Acts such as Birds Of Tokyo, Karnivool, Bertie Blackman, Dan Sultan

These boys have backed my bands and I back them

Working in the Music industry for the past ten years, we know how invaluable radio stations are to Independent Australian artists.

The support we've received from HOME BREW RADIO's Noddy and Brommers has been fantastic. Their support of Australian independent artists in the community radio sector has been unwavering, unbiased and of great help in promoting Australian music for many of our artists.

Not only have HOME BREW RADIO supported established and emerging W.A talent that we send them, they have provided invaluable interview time for touring acts such as Birds of Tokyo and Luna Parade.

Both Noddy and Brommers are a pleasure to work with, we have fantastic communication over new music and artists, being able to arrange interviews and touring plugs for many of our artists.

I have known the HOME BREW CREW since 2002, when I worked at Roadshow Music. As an independent label, pushing independent Australian acts, HOME BREW RADIO has been unwavering in their promotion and support. Bands such as The Butterfly Effect and Bugdust have benefited greatly from the community radio reach the program offered.

In the present day, as a freelance publicist, I still work with many up and coming Australian independent artists  - Noddy & Brommers offer great support in airplay and interview time. HOME BREW RADIO has also been a great supporter of Peats Ridge Festival (of which I am Publicity Manager), which itself promotes Australian music through the festival medium. Peats Ridge usually has around 350+ artists performing at the annual New Years event and with the majority of the artists being Australian (around 85%), the HBR team of Noddy & Brommers are a key element in promoting this festival through the community radio channel's nationally.

HOME BREW RADIO is an important and very relevant radio program in today's music society and its reach to community radio across the nation is paramount. Noddy & Brommers are great blokes and I appreciate all their support over the years.

Their HOME BREW RADIO show has since become a vital component in our campaigns The fact that HOME BREW RADIO is syndicated to over 80 community stations nationally set is aside and above and I believe is unique in this sector for the style of music they cater to

The support we've received from HOME BREW RADIO's Noddy and Brommers has been considerate and effective. Their support of Australian independent artists in the community radio sector has been unwavering, unbiased and invaluable in promoting Australian music for many of our artists and we appreciate the time they have dedicated to us and our clients with their thoughtful, knowledgeable and entertaining interviews.

Brommers & Noddy have supported all of my Australian tours over the last five years.  I have always found them to be well informed and total professionals in their field.  Some of the artists they have helped me promote and create awareness about are:  Kevin Borich, The Angels, Stone - The Movie, Brewster Brothers, Spy V Spy, Doomfoxx, Lawless Breed, The YeeHaa Boys and many more.  They are both always a pleasure to deal with and the artists always enjoy being on their show

Brommers and Noddy continue to show tremendous and much needed support to independent Australian artists. Without HOME BREW RADIO many amazing artists would not see the community radio air play that they deserve, instead losing  out to international acts. Their passion for the music is second-to-none and they are always a pleasure to deal with.
